Innovative Green Approach for Extraction of Piperine from Black Pepper Based on Response Surface Methodology

Bioactive compounds like piperine (alkaloids) offer a variety of health benefits due to their biological and pharmacological potential. Piperine has been revealed have anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, anti-diabetes, anti-bacterial, anti-ulcer, anti-carcinogenic characteristics. Recent research conducted extract using effective environmentally friendly techniques. In this study, we sought assess the potential efficacy natural deep eutectic solvents from black pepper seeds an ultrasound-assisted extraction technique. A Box–Behnken design combined with response surface methodology was used evaluate optimum conditions piperine. Extraction efficiency evaluated based on yields piperine, antioxidant activity, total polyphenols, flavonoids. The results showed that choline chloride-citric acid-1,2-propylene glycol combination (1:2:2 molar ratio) 25% (v/v) water most at extracting pepper. It found yield significantly influenced by liquid–solid ratio time. optimal were determined it activities polyphenol content in piperine-rich extracts remarkably related content. purity be 90%. Our indicate could as functional food application.
